Method
Choose a section and a size. A branch weighs what the weight calculator's standard table or formula gives; with a mill chosen, the mill's own weight takes its place.
The number of branches is the weight divided by the weight of one branch. A branch is not sold in part, so whole branches and the remainder are written separately and the number to buy is rounded up.
A branch costs its weight times the price per kilogram, and a tonne costs a thousand kilograms at that price. A product listed per branch or per piece is shown in that unit.

A 12 m branch of Ø14 rebar weighs 14.52 kg at standard weight, so 3 tonnes are 206.63 branches. To buy, that is 207 whole branches weighing 3,005.33 kg.
A 12 m branch of Ø16 rebar weighs 18.96 kg at standard weight; one tonne is 52.73 branches, that is 53 whole branches.
Rebar, beams, sheet and most sections are priced per kilogram; a branch costs its weight times the price per kilogram. With a mill chosen, this tool says which unit the product is listed in and writes the price per kilogram, per branch and per tonne side by side.
The standard weight of a 12 m branch of IPE 14 is 154.8 kg. Mills differ; choose the mill in the tool to use that mill's weight and price.
The standard weight is the nominal weight by table or formula, the same for every mill. The mill weight is what each mill states for its own length. Pick a mill and its weight and today's price become the basis of the amount.
